Haiti Companions
Terry Franzén co-founded Haiti Companions, Inc, a 501(c)(3) not for profit corporation in 2015 to continue the work she and others began through her church in 2007. Haiti Companions provides medical, dental and eye care using all Haitian staff to three remote locations high in the mountains in southwest Haiti where there is no other care available. In 2017, Haiti Companions’ staff treated approximately 3000 patients at its monthly clinics and is expected to see at least that many patients in 2018.

New American Pathways
New American Pathways provides approximately 5,000 refugees per year with the necessary tools to rebuild their lives and achieve long-term success. Its specially designed programs provide proven pathways for refugees and other immigrants to realize their full potential and dreams while becoming productive, contributing members of Georgia’s communities. The vision of New American Pathways is to promote safety and stability, self-sufficiency, success, and service for individual refugees and refugee families in Georgia. It offers distinct program areas that focus on jobs, education, cultural integration, individual and female empowerment, building strong families and civic engagement. All of these programs are enhanced through the service of a 16-member AmeriCorps team and hundreds of volunteers. The unique continuum of services results in better outcomes for refugees of all ages and at all stages of self-sufficiency, and ensures that these new Americans develop and contribute their special skills and talents to strengthening the American workforce and helping Georgia thrive.

Rainbow Village, Inc.
Loretta Salzano serves as Rainbow Village’s Legal Counsel and served as its Chair for several years. Rainbow Village puts homeless families on the road to self-sufficiency by providing housing, life skills training and supportive services. www.rainbowvillage.org.
Thornwell Home for Children
Loretta Salzano served on the Board of Thornwell Home for Children, which provides a nurturing environment to children whose lives have been shattered by death, abuse, neglect, displacement and abandonment. Thornwell is known throughout the nation as a model residential community for children coming from Georgia, Florida and South Carolina and has expanded its support outside its campus to keep families united. www.thornwell.org.
